The Story Behind Dogs At The Ranch
Your dogs will never be happier than the time they spend at Teddy Bear's Ranch and Ghost Town. The number one reason we bought the ranch is because we wanted our own dogs to play in the yard. As owners of two homes in Big Bear (see other), we are deeply involved in how to make Big Bear one of your favorite places to visit. For ourselves, we wanted to own property in an area where they never kill animals at the local animal pound. So, we launched and operate Big Bear Animal Rescue Community. For the last three years, we've made sure not ONE animal has died at our local animal pound. Matter-of-fact, most days our animal pound is EMPTY. We do this by using some of the funds raised by renting out our homes to pay for a large menagerie of circumstances. We pay to have animals fixed, rehomed, transported, fed, healed, boarded, advertised on Facebook and more. By staying at the ranch, you are helping Big Bear remain NO KILL. The animals thank you.

At Rest At The Ranch

When we saw the Tree Of Light And Love in our backyard, we knew this would be where our pets would be laid to rest. Wonka, Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Pierre Pierre, Mimi, Eva-Marie, and Lady Dog circle the tree at the base. It's an unmarked Pet Cemetery for our kiddos and will ultimately be where Teddy Bear(me) has his ashes spread one day.
